Life

"If music be the food of love, play on." --William Shakespare

Consumption

No, music is not my life. It is however my passion. I am not a musician, but I am a consumate lover of the art. Music frames me. It helps define me. It runs through my soul. Like the unconditional devotion of a loyal dog, music has always been there, comforting me when I need it, and sharing my joys in life.

As a non-musician I get to enjoy it in its purest form. No frustrations or toil in creating it. I will spend my life consuming it and I want to help others do the same. So for me, working in music, alongside others who make it, promote it, and shape it, is not really a choice. I have to do it.

Some say musicians don't have the apptitude for business. I don't know if that's true, but I do suspect that true art requires near total dedication to creating it, leaving little time for promoting it. That's where I come in. While you work on your creativity, I want to help get your art to the masses.

Community

Unsung aims to expose the unique community & inhabitants of Music City through photos and interviews from street musicians to celebrities.

I thought I was so unique when, a few months ago, I packed up all of my belongings and made the move to Nashville not knowing a soul. I came because I had a dream to chase. Within a few days I found out that my story was not rare at all. In fact, 60+ people a day are moving to Nashville, and an astonishing number of them are trying to hit the big time in the music industry.

It doesn't take long to come to the conclusion that the entire city has caught the music bug. No matter the motivation - be it glamor, fame, wealth, or just the genuine passion for the way music brings people together - the musicians of Nashville certainly have some stories that could shock you, inspire you, and teach you. I'm just here to tell them.

About

I've heard "you have to get your foot in the door." I'm building my own door and jumping right in.

I thought I was so unique when, a few months ago, I packed up all of my belongings and made the move to Nashville not knowing a soul. I came because I had a dream to chase. Within a few days I found out that my story was not rare at all. I'm just here to tell them.

Musicians of Nashville is an idea that continues to develop. I will conduct interviews with musicians of all walks of life - street musicians, studio musicians, performers, writers, etc. A small excerpt of each interview will be posted to my Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts, along with a high quality photo of the interviewee. Then, I will provide a link to this blog in which a full interview will be written up. Finally, I will promote the artist by providing a link to their artist page.
